UX Design for a Childcare Website (Stad Kortrijk)
For this project we had a clear design challenge: helping parents to find childcare places that fit their needs. For this project I did both the user research and the UX design/wireframing tracks.
Because it needed to be a multi-sided platform (such as AirBNB or Bol.com), the complexity was large. To mitigate this risk I researched users on both sides of the platform by investigating user pains and gains for both young parents and childcare organisations.
It was apparent that both sides needed a simple and convenient solution based on their mental model. Therefore I designed a simple and consistent interface and journey that was super task oriented. This concept and idea was rewarded by the Stad Kortrijk as concept with the highest score on quality of design.
